"I am collaborative, empathetic, understanding, and hopeful in my work with clients. I am interested in learning about new people and clients often comment that this shows. I am an eclectic in my practice, which means that I have training in many different forms of psychotherapy, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ACT, and play therapy for children. The work we do together will focus on what is important for you to achieve. This also means that our work together will be unique to you."

"There is no one 'Cognitive Behavioural Therapy' rather there is one unifying science of the mind, body, and heart represented in a class of therapies called 'CBT' that at their core lessen suffering and encourage living."
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Who do you see?
I work with everyone: children and their caregivers, adults, couples, and families.
2. What does a first session look like?
In an initial session, I would be interested in knowing what has brought you to counselling, get to know you, explore your strengths, talk about what hopes, goals, or possible outcomes you would like to see from our work together. I am interested in making our work effective for you.
3. How long are sessions?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes long and can be paid for with cash, cheque, or credit card. You will be provided with a receipt at your appointment.
4. Are services covered under OHIP or my private insurance?
Services provided by registered social workers, as with all other allied health professionals, are not covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). Services may be covered by your insurance, EAP or other benefit provider. It is your responsibility for payment of services and for you to seek reimbursement; Tim will only provide information to providers with your implied consent.  A receipt will be provided at the end of each session for reimbursement and tax purposes.
5. How much does a session cost?
Individual Session Fee (Including Couples or Families): $130
Group Session Fee (Per Participant, Per Session): $85
